RF Multi Zone IP20 RGB LED Strip Kit

Cut and reconnect your LED Strips very easily to complete your big setup with the RF Multi Zone Uncoated IP20 RGB LED Strip from LED Montreal! This one is the uncoated version of our famous IP65 LED Strip. Since there is no silicone coating on the strip, the copper connectors are already exposed which makes it so much easier to use with solderless connectors. You can choose between the RGB150 and RGB300 in the dropdown menu. Combine it to the multi zone system and it will allow you to control as many LED strip circuits as you want from one remote and split them in 4 different zones. This is going to make your life so much easier!

Please note that since the iP20 strips are uncoated, it is important that they get manipulated gently. Handling them with no care may damage the circuits.

One simple remote to control everything.
The Multi Zone RF remote operates on 2.4 GHz frequency, giving it a range of at least 20 meters and the RF signal doesn’t require you to point at the controller. The center touchpad gives you control over the brightness of your lighting (up-down). You can also assign an unlimited amount of single color strips to whichever one of the 4 available zones

Also compatible with your multi zone setup are the RF Multi Zone RGB LED Bulbs.
They have an integrated RF receiver, a beam angle of 180° and they are dimmable. They can display a wide range of colors and also a true warm white so they’re ideal to replace a standard 60 Watt light because the lighting look the same, they’re just as bright and they use 10 times less energy.

Those items can be synced and controlled together, within the same zone. So if you set both a 5 meter bundle and 4 Bulbs on Zone 1, for example, and then turn zone 1 on with the remote, both your LED Bulbs and Strips will turn on.

Want the light to turn on automatically when someone's around? Use the PIR Motion Detector with your LED Strip bundle, it's a super effective add-on piece!

Note that if you're planning on installing your LED strip sideways or upside down, we strongly suggest using extra adhesive such as double sided tape.

The 4 Zone set up is just awesome and so convenient!
A few examples:

  • •  Control the lighting in your kitchen on Zone 1, your bedroom on Zone 2, your living room on Zone 3 and your recreation room on Zone 4.
  • •  Divide a room in two zones and control the Bulbs in the room with Zone 1 and the LED Strips of the same room using Zone 2.
  • •  Alternatively, you could set up the whole house on a single zone and have all your strips and bulbs turn on and off in sync... that’s how powerful and versatile this kit is!

Adding on to a Zone is easy!
For a new product or a product that has never been linked before:

  1. Disconnect the power supply from the controller.
  2. Turn the light back on and within 3 seconds; press the ON (│) button of the zone you want to assign (1 to 4) on the remote control.
  3. The light will slowly flash 3 times to indicate that it was successfully linked.

You can repeat this procedure for each light product you want to add to your Zone.

Change a light from one zone to another.
If the light you want to add to a zone was previously assigned to a different one, you will first need to unlink that light.

  1. Identify which zone the light is currently assigned to.
  2. Disconnect the power supply.
  3. Power the light back on and within 3 seconds; press the ON button of the previously assigned zone 5 times quickly.
  4. You can then proceed and program your light according to the add-on procedure outlined above.

Your power sources.
Please note that although you can sync and control an unlimited amount of LED Strips in each Zone, make sure that you have a power outlet available for each 20 meters of 150 LED RGB Strip within the same zone.  For example, if you wish to light up your favorite area with 30 meters of ip20 150 RGB LED Strip, your kit should connect as follow:

Circuit 1: 1-10A Power supply, 1- T shape connector, 1- RF Controller, 4- 5m spools of ip20 150 RGB LED Strips
Circuit 2: 1- 6A Power supply, 1- RF Controller, 2- 5m spools of ip20 150 RGB LED Strips

Configuration for 20 meters of ip20 RGB 150 LED Strip:
The Multi Zone kit for 20m of ip20 RGB 150 strip (the maximum length of RGB 150 strip possible for 1 circuit) comes with a T shape splitter. You can connect 2 strips (10m) on the left output and 2 strips (10m) on the right output. You can't connect 3 or 4 strips one after the other on the same output, the tension on the circuit will be too high and you will damage your strips.

Configuration for 15 meters ip20 RGB 150 LED Strip:
The Multi Zone kit for 15m of ip20 RGB 150 strip comes with a T shape splitter. You have to connect 2 strips (10m) on one side and 1 strip (5m) on the other. You can't connect 3 or 4 strips one after the other on the same output, the tension on the circuit will be too high and you will damage your strips.

Configuration for 10 meters of ip20 RGB 300 LED Strip:
The Multi Zone kit for 10m of RGB ip20 300 strip comes with a T shape splitter. You have to connect 1 strip (5m) on one side and 1 strip (5m) on the other. You can't connect more than one strip of RGB 300 on the same output, the tension on the circuit will be too high and you will damage your strips. Note that for 10m of ip20 RGB 150 strip, it is preferable to split the circuit in the middle and have one strip on each side.
