RGB Uncoated IP20 LED Strip kit

Cut and reconnect your LED Strips very easily with the RGB Uncoated IP20 LED Strip from LED Montreal! This one is the uncoated version of our famous IP65 LED Strip. Yes, you’ve read right! Since there is no silicone coating on the strip, the copper connectors are already exposed which makes it so much easier to use with solderless connectors. Plus they’re cheaper!

Please note that since the iP20 strips are uncoated, it is important that they get manipulated gently. Handling them with no care may damage the circuits.

This kit is fully customizable! For example, the kit on the image is an IP20 RGB300 with a 24-key controller, but the pull down menu allows you to customize your RGB LED Strip according to your needs and wishes. The basic kit for the displayed price includes a RGB 150 IP20 LED Strip, a wired controller and a power supply, but in a click, you can upgrade your controller to either the standard IR 24 keys controller or to the most evolved of the IR controllers featuring 44 keys, allowing you to create custom colors. You also get the possibility to go to the next level with our 10 key RF controller. The RF controller is ultra compact and aesthetic and gives you the possibility of controlling your RGB LED Strip from a distance up to 30 meters. Furthermore, the RF controller is easy to hide, as no captor is required to interact with the remote.

The kit comes with everything you need to install it properly. If you need to cut and reconnect, it’s important that you clean off the glue under the strip in order to be able to insert it properly into the solderless connector. For optimal results, brush the extra paint off the copper connectors. For further instructions, please visit the how to use solderless connectors page.

Please note that if you need a more flexible and durable strip, we suggest going with the IP65 LED Strips. This option is also available in the drop down menu.

Use of Adhesive Tape
If you're planning on installing your LED strip sideways or upside down, we strongly suggest using extra adhesive such as the Double Sided 3M 9495LE Tape for LED Strips

For porous surfaces, outdoor usage, wet and marine environments or usage with IP 68 strips, we suggest using the Double Sided 3M Acrylic Tape for LED Strips

WARNING: Do not use the Double Sided 3M Acrylic Tape on 3014 LED Strips or for more than 4 consecutive hours at full intensity (or commercially used) 5050 Led Strips, as there could be a risk of damage to the LED strip.

For every 15m-20m RGB150 kit or 10m RGB300 kit, your package will include a T shape RGB splitter, which you need in order to split your circuit as evenly as possible. On longer circuits like these, some of the colors might tend to go off shade on the ends if power isn't distributed evenly (especially on white and yellow). As for the 10m RGB150 LED strip kit, it is not absolutely necessary to use a T shape splitter, but recommended in order to get optimal results.
