Designed to dissipate heat away from your LED strip, it helps extend its lifespan and keep it performing at its best. The 8 Foot U-Shaped Aluminum Profile for LED Strip Lights from LED Montreal offers a clean and subtle way to complete your LED strip installation.

Ideal for ultra slim linear lighting installations in tight spaces, such as under cabinets, inside closets, beneath shelves, under stair steps, and in other low-profile applications, this aluminum profile measures only 6.1 mm in height. Its discreet design blends seamlessly into your project while allowing for maximum light diffusion, thanks to its side walls that do not obstruct light output.

Made in Canada, this 8 foot profile is UR certified and designed for IP20 and IP65 LED strips only. It is not intended for outdoor use.

For a professional installation and a clean, finished look, add the compatible end caps and aluminum mounting clips or heavy-duty double-sided adhesive tape (Accessories are sold separately).

This slim aluminum profile has a relatively small volume of aluminum. As a result, its heat dissipation capabilities are limited. We strongly recommend pairing it with LED strips rated at 10 watts per meter or less to extend the lifespan of the LEDs and ensure optimal performance. We recommend using the LUX740 for LEDs that have a higher power consumption. 

To ensure that you really get the look that you want, we have a selection of two diffusers to choose from:

1. Opaline: You can create a continuous, dot-free lighting effect with the CRI 90+ 8mm SOB LED or the CRI 90+ 8mm COB LED (also available in CCT White, RGB and RGB+W). The Opaline diffuser will totally hide your strip when it’s turned off and renders 55% of your Strip’s total light when it’s turned on. This diffuser will not produce a dot free effect with Strips at 120 LED/m, given the height of the profile.
   
   
2. Premium: The name speaks for itself!  The Premium is the true professional’s choice! This diffuser provides an amazing light output of 73% (a mere loss of 27%) while only affecting the CCT of your Strip by only -30K. It’s the perfect match for our high CRI LED series as it will provide you with a uniform, dot free light effect. We recommend using either the CRI 90+ 8mm SOB LED or the CRI 90+ 8mm COB LED (also available in CCT White, RGB and RGB+W) to obtain a perfect lighting with this diffuser. You will not get a continuous lighting effect with Strips at 120 LED/m with the Premium Diffuser given the height of the profile.
