Introducing the very first Zigbee controller offered by LED Montreal: the Mi-Boxer PZ5. This hardwired 5-in-1 controller is compatible with the Zigbee 3.0 protocol. Versatile, it can control all types of LED strips: single color, variable white (CCT), RGB, RGB + white, as well as RGB + variable white.

The Mi-Boxer PZ5 stands out for its high versatility: it is compatible with popular ecosystems like Philips Hue, as well as voice commands from Alexa and Google Home.

It is also compatible with your Zigbee gateway. It can also be controlled via a mobile app or with a 2.4 GHz remote (sold separately).

It offers up to 18 built-in color-changing modes, as well as a "Do Not Disturb" mode (enabled by default) that prevents the controller from restarting at full brightness after a power outage, providing greater comfort in residential settings.

While the PZ5 has a technical capacity of 20A, the North American Electrical Code limits usage to 96W at 24V or 60W at 12V. For larger installations, multiple controllers can be synchronized using the auto-repeating mode. These controllers do not need to be physically connected, as long as they are paired with the same remote and assigned to the same zone.

The remote (sold separately) allows control of 1 to 8 distinct zones, depending on the model. You can assign multiple controllers to the same zone: all PZ5 units assigned to a zone will respond simultaneously, enabling uniform lighting control across large areas.

The Mi-Boxer PZ5 controller is intended for intermediate to advanced Zigbee users looking to integrate LED solutions into their existing Zigbee gateway. Please note that a Zigbee gateway is required to use this product and is not offered by LED Montreal. No technical support is provided for this product, aside from the instructions included in the description. We recommend reviewing the product description carefully before purchase.

Please note that this controller does not include a direct connector for DC transformers with a male plug. It is a hardwired model. If you are using a DC transformer with a connector, we recommend adding a female DC adapter to facilitate the connection with your controller.

Installation:

First, ensure that your controller is set to match the type of LED strip you are using.

Press and hold the "SET" button to change the output mode. The controller will disconnect if there is no operation within 3 seconds. The output modes are indicated by the indicator light color:

White Light: Single color
Yellow Light: Variable white (CCT)
Red Light: RGB
Green Light: RGB+W
Blue Light: RGB+CCT

Pairing Instructions:

1. Connect your LED strip and power supply to the controller. Make sure the strip lights up, then briefly press the SET button on the controller.
2. Briefly press the " | " button on the remote 3 times within 3 seconds.
3. The lights will flash slowly 3 times to indicate successful pairing.
4. If pairing fails, repeat the steps.

Unpairing Instructions:

1. Briefly press the SET button on the controller.
2. Briefly press the " | " button on the remote 5 times within 3 seconds.
3. The lights will flash quickly 10 times to indicate successful unpairing.
4. If unpairing fails, repeat the steps.

Warning:

Turn off power before installation.
Make sure the input voltage matches the device requirements.
Avoid using the device in areas with large metal surfaces or strong electromagnetic interference, as this can affect the remote's range.
