This multi-color LED strip kit (RGB) is a fast and efficient way to enhance the decor of any room. Whether for a living room, a child or teenager's room, this strip can be installed in just a few minutes!
Unlike most products available on the market, our Strip is professional grade. It is therefore cUL certified for use in Canada, is super bright and has a high quality self-adhesive.
The kit includes a 5-meter strip(or 10 meters depending on the option chosen), an infrared remote control, a Wi-Fi controller, a plug-in transformer and a 3 meter RGB extension that will allow you to install the strip at the desired height.
If you opt for the 10m version, you will receive a continuous 10m LED Strip.
Your remote control and 24-key infrared remote offer the following features:
- Brightness control, set it to one color and adjust the brightness.
- Full RGB mode (red, green, blue) will allow you to select 16 individual solid colors
- 5 light patterns: Static / Flash / Strobe / Fade change / Soft RGB change
- 16 control speeds in Flash / Strobe / Fade change / Smooth-RGB RGB
- A range of about 10m
In addition to the included remote control, you can also control your LED strips via Wi-Fi. Integration of the Wi-Fi system is easier than ever since everything is done directly via the free iOS or Android application. You read correctly! The Mi-Light Cloud application allows you to operate your LED lights from any Wi-Fi network around the world. Please note that the app is available in English only.
Configuring your Mi-Light Cloud application is simple.
Once you've registered an account and entered your information into the app, just click the + icon located at the top right of the screen to add a controller. Then choose the type of device you want to link to your Wi-Fi account and just follow the on-screen instructions. You will need the password of your 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi router to complete the connection. The Controller will not operate on a 5 Ghz connection.
It should be noted that the Wi-Fi function offers the possibility of grouping several controllers in order to use them in Multi Zone mode. If you want to control two sets with the same remote control, you will need to install the two controllers side by side with the two infrared sensors close to each other. Automatic color changes may not be synchronized.
RGB stands for red-green-blue. The 5050 RGB chips emit a 120-degree light beam and each of these 3 colors of LED lighting in each chip: this allows to create a multitude of different colors by mixing red, green and blue at different levels. The amount of colors that can be obtained depends on the RGB controller you are using. Note that the RGB chip does not create true white
The RGB LED Strips have a 4-wire connection, which means that they can only be used via an RGB controller, like the one included in our kit. The included 24-key controller will allow you to tone down your Strip and change colors manually or through automated color change patterns. The intensity of the RGB Strip cannot be varied via a standard wall dimmer. Your infrared controller has a receiver that must be within the visual range of the remote control to operate. The remote control and its battery are included in your kit.
You can customize the configuration of your LED lighting because this Strip can be cut every 5 LEDs. The RGB LED Strip is flexible vertically but cannot be folded horizontally. If you need to go around an obstacle or turn a corner, we recommend soldering a 4-strand wire on your Strip. The solder ensures a solid connection and minimal voltage loss. Quick connectors are available and are only recommended if you have 1 or 2 connections to make. If you want to use a connector, use our iP20 grip and clip connectors.
Your RGB LED strip is equipped with a high-quality 3M adhesive. This adhesive is intended to be installed on a clean, non-shiny metal surface. LED strips are not designed to be installed on varnished or shiny wooden surfaces.
Installing the LED strip kit for the bedroom is easy.
Connect the plug of the transformer to the wall socket.
Connect the male plug of the transformer without the female plug of the controller. Note that the wall outlet measures 1.2m (about 4 feet) and that the wire coming out of the transformer to the controller also measures 1.2m.
If the extension of 3 meters is required, connect it to the controller making sure that the arrows are via screw -> <-
Take your measurements, peel the backing off the strip and stick it in place. Warning! The strip is super sticky, once in place it will be difficult to peel it off. Once installed, connect the strip to the extension or directly to the Controller making sure that the arrows on the connector face to face -> <-
If the strip is too long, you can shorten it, the cutting lines are clearly identified every 17cm
