8 feet interior aluminum U shape profile for LED Strip (LUX4400)

Introducing the LUX4400, a small and versatile aluminum profile designed for high-quality LED strip installations. Made in Canada with precision, this profile measures just under half an inch wide and high (12.2mm x 12.2mm), making it ideal for sleek and modern applications, especially between wood panels for a trendy, decorative touch.

The LUX4400 is crafted from premium Alcoa 6063-T5 aluminum, ensuring optimal heat diffusion with its enhanced height design, providing more volume for heat management. The LUX4400 features an interior width of 8mm, making it the perfect match for our COB8 strip, delivering a flawless dotless and well-diffused lighting effect even in this ultra-compact profile.

Certified to cURus standards and conforming to UL standard 2108 for closet installations, the LUX4400 offers safe and reliable performance. It’s available in both black and aluminum finishes and comes with an opaline lens for smooth light diffusion. Optional clips can be added for easy installation, giving you complete flexibility in your lighting projects.

About the diffuser: Get a no-dot, continuous effect from your COB8 LED Strip. The opaline diffuser is exactly what you’re looking for! It will completely hide your strip when it’s turned off and render 55% of your strip’s total light when it’s turned on. Note that this lens will affect the CCT of your strip by approximately -215K. We do not recommend using a standard 120LED/m strip in the profile. Note that the diffuser needs to be slided in the profile prior to installing the end caps. The 4400 does not feature a clip on diffuser.

Installation Notice – LED Profile with Sliding Lens

Unlike other profile models where the lens is installed by pressure, this model requires the lens to be slid from one end of the profile to the other. Therefore, it's important to follow a different installation method.

Profile Preparation:
Thoroughly clean the extrusion before installation.
Stick the LED strip to the bottom of the extrusion using the integrated adhesive or a suitable glue.

Installing the First End Cap:
Attach the open end cap (the one through which the wire will pass). Unlike other end caps that can be secured by pressure, this one must be glued.
Use Gorilla Glue Gel to fix the open end cap.
Once the end cap is in place, wait 12 hours before proceeding to the next step, to allow the glue fumes to dissipate and prevent a permanent fog in the lens.

Inserting the Lens:
After 12 hours, carefully slide the lens from one end of the profile to the other. Make sure it is correctly in place.

Installing the Second End Cap:
Attach the second end cap to the other end of the profile. It is very important to glue it from the back to avoid any condensation or fogging in the lens.
Let it rest for another 12 hours after gluing the second end cap.
