Bring your RGB LED game to the next level with this RGB Strip kit at 30 LED/m from LED Montreal. Ideal for usage in your kitchen or bedroom, it’s also everyone’s favorite to light up your home bar space.
Regarding the strip: RGB Stands for Red-Green-Blue. 5050 RGB Chips give a 120-degree light beam and feature each of these 3 colors of LED lights within each chip: This allows to create up to two million different colors by mixing the red, green and blue at different levels. The RF remote will allow you to create 250 colors. Note that the RGB Chip does not create a true white. Should you want to use your Strip to both enhance your décor and get an ambient white light, we strongly suggest using our RGBW Strip that includes a white LED diode within the 5050 chips.
RGB LED Strips have a 4-wire connection, meaning that they can only be operated through an RGB controller. The controller will allow you to dim your strip and change colors manually or through automated color change patterns. The strip cannot be dimmed through a standard wall dimmer
You can customize your LED Lighting set up as this Strip can be cut every 5 LEDS. The RGB LED Strip is flexible vertically but cannot be bent horizontally. Should you need to bypass an obstacle or turn a corner, we recommend removing the iP65+ sleeve with an x-acto knife and solder 4 strand wire onto your Strip. Soldering ensures a solid connection and minimal voltage loss. Quick connectors are available and are only recommended if you have 1 or 2 connections to make. Should you want to use a connector, use an iP20 grip and clip connector while making sure the remove both the top and bottom silicone of the Strip.
Your RGB LED Strip is equipped with a high-quality 3M adhesive. This adhesive is intended for installation on a clean, non-glossy metallic surface. LED Strips were not designed to be installed on varnished or glossy wood surfaces. For porous surfaces, wet and marine environments or usage with IP 67 strips, we suggest using the Double Sided 3M Acrylic Tape for LED Strips.
Multi Zone RGB LED Strips Kit
The basic kit comes with 5m of 5050 150 LED RGB Strip + 1 Multi Zone RGB remote + 1 Multi Zone controller + 1 24V power supply. Multiple Strips are displayed to show some of the colors that the actual Strip can achieve and to illustrate that you can control several units with one remote. Control everything with one simple remote!
The Multi Zone RF remote operates on 2.4 GHz frequency, giving it with a range of up to 30 meters and features numerous functions. The center touchpad gives you the possibility of choosing directly a lighting color (press and hold the ON (│) button of the Zone to get the color White) while another small touchpad gives you control over the brightness of the lighting. You can also select among 9 different automatic light changing modes and even control the speed of the changes! Please note that all the strips assigned to the same zone will follow your color commands at the same time, but the automatic color changing mode won’t have them all change color in sync.
NEW! You can now also control all your Multi Zone setups using your smart phone or tablet with the WiFi Controller for RF Multi Zone kits. By installing that USB powered WiFi Controller, connecting it to your internet setup or home network and downloading the free MiLight iPhone/Android App you can control all your Multi Zone kits with your tablet or smartphone as if it were another remote.
The 4 Zone set up is the coolest thing ever!
A few examples:
• Control the lighting in your kitchen on Zone 1, your bedroom on Zone 2, your living room on Zone 3 and your recreation room on Zone 4.
• Divide a room in two zones and control one side of the room with Zone 1 and the other using Zone 2.
• Alternatively, you could use the master control function (the ON/OFF - O button at the top of the remote) to control all zones as one and have all your strips change color in sync... that’s how powerful and versatile this kit is!
Adding on to a Zone is easy!
For a new product or a product that has never been linked before:
- Disconnect the power supply from the controller to switch off the light(s) you want to program.
- Turn the light back on and within 3 seconds; press the ON (│) button of the zone you want to assign (1 to 4) on the remote control.
- The light will slowly flash 3 times to indicate that it was successfully linked.
You can repeat this procedure for each light product you want to add to your Zone.
Change a light from one zone to another.
If the light you want to add to a zone was previously assigned to a different one, you will first need to unlink that light.
- Identify which zone the light is currently assigned to.
- Disconnect the power supply to turn off the light(s) you want to program.
- Power the light back on and within 3 seconds; press the ON button of the previously assigned zone 5 times quickly.
- You can then proceed and program your light according to the add-on procedure outlined above.

The iP65+ coating is so efficient that a Strip equipped with this technology could be used outdoors, inside an aluminum channel in most provinces.
